Service good, food nothing special, but we'll come again.The best thing about the meal here was the service.Two friendly and helpful young men who were very keen to get everything right. Very pleasant indeed.Oh, and the fire, the open fire, which added a nice touch to the surroundings.The food was an improvement on the last time, but nothing special. We were giving them a second chance, and the outstanding service has made me upgrade the rating to 4 ****.It is the sort of place where you would bring some visitors from France. So that they could see a traditional English pub, and snigger a little that all their ideas about English food were shown to be true.So the building is right, the service very right - now get the food very right too!.
